Housing-related Community Supports (HCS) are essential Medi-Cal services that help individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness find and maintain stable housing.
The Housing Community Supports Implementation Advisory Committee (HCSIAC) strengthens these services by:
Bringing together a diverse group of partners, including:
- Medi-Cal members and individuals with lived experience of homelessness
- Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans (MCPs)
- Service providers
- County departments (health, behavioral health, human services, and housing/homelessness)
- Homeless Continuums of Care (CoCs)
Supporting implementation through:
- Sharing and highlighting best practices
- Recommending standardized processes
- Fostering innovative partnerships to improve outcomes across California
