What are Housing-Related Community Supports?

Housing-related Community Supports are Medi-Cal services that help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness access and maintain stable housing. California launched these services starting in 2022 as part of the California Advancing and Improving Medi-Cal initiative, also known as CalAIM.

Who We Are

The Housing Community Supports Implementation Advisory Committee is a group of more than 100 people engaged in implementing housing-related Community Supports across California. This group includes:

  • Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans (MCPs);
  • Medi-Cal members and people with lived experience of homelessness;
  • Housing-related Community Supports providers
  • Homeless Continuum of Care (CoC) lead entities;
  • California county departments of health, behavioral health, human services, and housing / homelessness;
  • And others with an interest in improving the availability, efficacy, uptake, and outcomes of housing-related Community Supports.

The project is co-convened by the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) and Klurfeld Consulting, LLC., and is funded by the California Health Care Foundation.
